The developers at Paramo have created a Jacket that can be as versatile as your adventures.
The Velez Jacket has been designed with key ventilation options for those high performance activities along with waterproof, windproof and warmth for cooler climates and less performance.
The Velez combines discreet but very effective ventilation, with an athletic shape to minimise wind-resistance.
Optimum cooling when working hard provided by vents, combined with pocketing, carefully positioned for ease of use.
Enhanced weather protection when carrying a rucksack provided by mesh reinforcement in the back panel.

Conventional breathable membrane waterproof fabrics fail because they cannot remove all of the sweat we produce when we are working hard, especially in cold and wet conditions. Therefore condensation and icing are well known problems experienced with membrane rainwear.
Nikwax Analogy® overcomes these problems because it is not only breathable, but also directional. The Analogy fabric system directs condensation and perspiration away from the body, where it can safely drain away.

The Velez Jacket is a year-round, high energy jacket for a variety of outdoor activities in different conditions.
It offers flexible ventilation options, including very generous arm and torso vents, for swift and significant temperature adjustment while on the move. Constructed from rigorously tested standard and lightweight Nikwax Analogy fabrics zoned to give hard-wearing weather protection and perspiration removal. Excellent features provide top performance on the mountain.

How will your Páramo® outperform breathable membrane garments?
The Nikwax Analogy system is designed not only to be extremely breathable, but also directional. That means that it directs liquid water as well as water vapour towards the outside of the garment, protecting your insulation.
Although breathable membranes allow moisture vapour to pass through them, they do nothing to transport liquid water. Therefore, when the production of sweat exceeds moisture vapour transfer, they begin to build up condensation, soaking inner clothing.
So Nikwax Analogy garments work much better for heavy work, and in colder or highly humid conditions, because they actively move all perspiration and condensation outwards.

We guarantee everything we make. Under the Páramo guarantee any manufacturing fault will be resolved, free of charge, for the life of the garment.
Registration and proof of purchase
To be covered by the guarantee, your garment needs to be registered with Páramo or you will need to provide us with a valid receipt or other valid proof of purchase from an authorised Páramo reseller. The guarantee only applies to the original garment owner when registered within 3 months of purchase and is non-transferable.

Wear and tear
All our garments are manufactured to meet our extremely high quality and performance standards. However, even the most cared-for garments eventually show signs of wear and tear. Accidents happen, moving parts wear out and fabrics fade with time and use. General wear and tear or accidental damage is not covered by the guarantee but even these garments can be repaired for a reasonable cost. As an example of the expected lifetime of a product, garments owned by professional outdoor teams will be used virtually every day and will wear at a quicker rate than a garment used only at the weekends. We would expect that any manufacturing defect or component failures would become apparent within a period of 3 years for such frequent and regular professional use.
Considerations including component lifetime
Any work carried out on a Páramo garment by a third party will invalidate the guarantee.
The guarantee is limited to the repair of the garment and excludes consequential loss or damages.
We source the highest quality components for use in our garments. However, no component will last forever. Varying levels of use will affect the lifespan of all components. In every case, a fair assessment will be made of the overall level of wear of the individual garment based on the expert knowledge of our workshop team. Any charge made for a repair will be at the discretion of Páramo based on this fair assessment.
